摘要: Asthma is caused by complex gene-gene and gene-environment interactions. Most asthma genes are not replicable across populations, which possibly because of differences in the epidemiology these genes. Our case-control association next-generation sequencing studies revealed substantial discrepancies frequencies single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) haplotype blocks for between Chinese other populations. The minor allele nearly half our studied SNPs differed 0.2 or greater southern subjects Hong Kong European white African both. Because genome-wide have been performed subjects, we cannot tell whether genomic findings recent consortium-based applicable to population. In addition, group Roche 454 pyrosequencing on a 100-kb area spanning each 10 loci 24 healthy children. For 17q21 locus, there was variation structures that were constructed from 224 common among 6 ethnic groups under 1000 Genomes Project. Sixteen mostly small formed Kong, whereas identified Han Beijing central 11 19 Puerto Rican Yoruba subjects. conclusion, found groups. These sequence variations must be considered during selection tagging replicating genetic associations
