摘要: The ability of cancer cells to suppress apoptosis is critical for carcinogenesis. BCL2 family proteins comprise the sentinel network that regulates mitochondrial or intrinsic apoptotic response. Recent advances in our understanding signaling pathways have enabled methods identify cancers are “primed” undergo apoptosis, and revealed potential biomarkers may predict which will response specific therapies. Complementary efforts focused on developing novel drugs directly target antiapoptotic proteins. In this review, we summarize current knowledge role members development therapy, focusing targeted therapeutics, recent progress biomarkers, therapeutic strategies designed overcome deficiencies apoptosis. Significance: Apoptosis, long known be important conventional cytotoxic chemotherapy, has more recently been shown essential efficacy Approaches increase likelihood a following therapy help improve treatment strategies.
