Pitfalls in the diagnosis of periprosthetic valvular regurgitation by pulsed Doppler echocardiography

摘要: Pulsed Doppler echocardiographic diagnosis of periprosthetic valvular insufficiency may be difficult. This report details the pulsed findings in two patients who developed severe mitral regurgitation after porcine valve replacement. In both patients, was difficult to diagnose and left atrial turbulence, when detected, appeared localized, suggesting only mild regurgitation.
