摘要: Pulsed Doppler echocardiographic diagnosis of periprosthetic valvular insufficiency may be difficult. This report details the pulsed findings in two patients who developed severe mitral regurgitation after porcine valve replacement. In both patients, was difficult to diagnose and left atrial turbulence, when detected, appeared localized, suggesting only mild regurgitation. However, combination abnormally high peak transmitral diastolic flow velocity, with a normal pressure half-time, increased velocity tricuspid regurgitant jet compatible pulmonary hypertension, absence other apparent heart disease, suggested correct cases. Techniques for optimal assessment anulus region are emphasized, as theoretic advantages continuous wave color-coded echocardiography detection
