They tend to break knowledge into formal clusters of information that do not encour age reader interest, acquisition, or meaningful retention. In comparison, narra tive texts such as adolescent novels promote student interest increase Brozo Tomlinson (1986) contend narrative used skillfully make the curriculum more palatable, comprehensible, memo rable.
