摘要: China's Guangdong Province is located along the same latitude as Kolkata, India and Dhaka, Bangladesh, also considered a source of epidemic cholera. However, molecular description genetic relationships between Vibrio cholerae O1 El Tor isolates in remain unclear. In this study, 381 clinical V. recovered from cholera cases presenting 1961 2013 were investigated by PCR, amplicon sequencing pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE). During time frame, four distinct periods (1-4) observed based on different dominant serotype leading its epidemic, correspond to years; or from/to 1961-1969, 1978-1989, 1990-2000, 2001-2013, respectively. Molecular analysis representative indicated that single dominating clone was associated with each stage. All 1 2 carried typical ctxB; allele displaced classical ctxB beginning 1993. However all Tor-specific toxin-coregulated pili subunit A (tcpA). Isolates grouped into five clusters basis Not I enzyme digested PFGE, first specific periods, cluster (period 1), II 3), III 2) IV 4), While V consisted but most heterogeneous appearance. Our data indicate variations shape relationship among emerging contribute 7th global pandemic.
