摘要: In this paper, we extend our previous study on BitTorrent, the most popular peer-to-peer (P2P) protocol, to investigate different aspects related its energy efficiency in IP over WDM (IP/WDM) networks, validating power savings previously obtained by modeling and simulation through experimental results. Our contributions can be summarized as follows: First, compare consumption of proposed efficient BitTorrent protocol that original client–server (C-S) schemes bypass IP/WDM networks considering a range network topologies with number nodes average hop counts. results show for certain swarm size, achieves higher lower opportunity localize traffic increases. Second, developed heuristic enhancing performance allowing peers progressively traverse more hops if local node is not sufficient. Third, mixed integer linear programming model optimize location well upload rates operator controlled seeders (OCS) mitigate degradation caused leechers leaving after finishing downloading operation. Fourth, video demand (VoD) services delivered using content distribution (CDN), P2P, promising hybrid CDN-P2P architecture core networks. A MILP carry out comparison. We two scenarios architecture: H-MinNPC where minimizes H-MinTPC total including CDN datacenters consumption. Finally, an evaluation heuristics.
