摘要: OBJECTIVE There has been an increasing interest in the quantitative analysis of publishing within field neurosurgery at individual, group, and institutional levels. The authors present updated accredited pediatric training programs. METHODS All 28 Accreditation Council for Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship programs were contacted names neurosurgeons who each year from 2011 through 2015. Faculty queried Scopus publications citations during this time period. 5-year Hirsch index [i h(5)-index] revised h-index r(5)-index] calculated to rank Each publication was reviewed determine authorship value, tier research, clinical versus basic science subject matter, whether it pediatrics-specific. A unique 3-tier article classification system introduced stratify articles by quality complexity, with 3 being lowest (e.g., case reports) 1 highest randomized controlled trials). RESULTS Among 2060 publications, 1378 (67%) pediatrics-specific had a mean 15.2 per (median 6), whereas non-pediatrics-specific 23.0 8; p < 0.0001). For 46% papers that neurosurgeon as first or last author, number 12.1 5.0) compared 22.5 8.0) those which middle author (p Seventy-nine percent research 21% translational research; however, 36.9 15) 12.6 5.0; articles, 15.0 8.0), 2 18.7 7.8 3.0). Neuro-oncology received (mean 25.7). most common journal Journal Neurosurgery: Pediatrics (20%). MD/PhD faculty members significantly more than MD 26.7 vs 14.0; 0.0001) also higher 38.6 20.8). median i h(5)- r(5)-indices program 14 (range 5-48) 10 5.6-37.2), respectively. r(5)/i h(5)-index ratio 0.8. top 5 fellowship (in descending order) ranked corrected Hospital Sick Children, Toronto; Children's Pittsburgh; University California, San Francisco Benioff Hospital; Seattle St. Louis Hospital. CONCLUSIONS About two-thirds authored are pediatrics-specific, although averaged citations. Most clinical, averaging Neurosurgeons PhD degrees total publication. In all, is advanced informative productivity date.
