Alona iberica, New Species: First Evidence of Noncosmopolitanism within the A. karua Complex (Cladocera: Chydoridae)

摘要: ABSTRACT Alonaiberica, new species, belongs to the A. karua complex and differs from an Australian population previous descriptions of (King) G. O. Sars, 1888, in having: (1) posterodorsal comer carapace higher, (2) preanal angle postabdomen (3) postanal portion longer, (4) PP/IP ratio greater, (5) tip labrum rounded, (6) ridges on more prominent. Alona iberica inhabits temporary weakly mineralized waters over sandy or rocky substrates semiarid regions. This species is endemic western part Iberian Peninsula Minorca.
