摘要: Aquifers recharge mainly by local rainfall, which depend on the air mass humidity and orographic lifting, causing rain. The stable isotopes of water molecule, i.e., oxygen-18 deuterium, are useful tracers to determine source origin. Moreover, calculation deuterium excess enables one differentiate between masses from Atlantic Ocean or Mediterranean Sea. A transect coast other going through city Toulouse have been made sample groundwater their isotopic characteristic. monthly rainfall sampling has also done over year, close Toulouse, see how d-excess values range season. discussion replaces these results in available data.
