摘要: Proximal digital annular ligament (PDAL) desmitis occurs in horses for which PDAL desmotomy is the only reported treatment. The presented work aims to develop a technique safely performing horses. Twenty hind limbs and 13 forelimbs, harvested from dead or euthanized reasons unrelated any structure pastern region, were used. All free of disease at level their PDAL. was performed using minimally invasive approach flexor tendon sheath between palmar (plantar) PDAL, medial lateral access. Limbs immediately dissected after procedure assess completeness possible damage surrounding structures. successfully transected all except one. Damage tissue included transection nerve (n = 1), longitudinal tear superficial 3), ergot 21). A found be safer than approach. In conclusion, can safe, repeatable, technically easy way. This is, our knowledge, first report standardized horse.
