摘要: Pollen flow and population genetic structure among 30 potentially flowering individuals of Neobalanocarpus heimii , a tropical emergent tree, were investigated in lowland rainforest Malaysia using microsatellite polymorphism. The 248 offspring the vicinity five reproductive trees used paternity analysis for pollen-flow study. Four primer pairs, developed different species dipterocarps, adopted to detect Based upon polymorphism, pollen seed migration detected. Pollen-flow events more than 400 m observed directly, based on study plot. estimated average mating distance was 524 m. This result suggests that reproduction this is mediated by long-distance pollinator. haplotypes some not compatible with nearest tree. Thus, results suggest seeds are dispersed dispersal vector. Investigation showed significant negative correlation relatedness spatial distances between trees, but weak. We gene responsible poorly species.
