摘要: As a top predator, the Iberian wolf (Canis lupus signatus) plays major role shaping interactions within food webs. Due to its conservation status in Portugal, i.e. endangered, it is important understand of parasites this population, since they can be limiting factor for population fitness and trophic and, ultimately, their survival. From November 2017 August 2018, 33 fresh faecal samples were collected several transects distributed throughout Montesinho Natural Park. Samples analysed by means four coprological techniques. A total three helminth (Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp. Eucoleus aerophilus) identified based on size morphology. The overall prevalence was low (15.5%), being Ancylostoma most prevalent parasite. found are concern, once pathogenic humans other wild domestic animals. We suggest surveillance programs that include both parasite wildlife monitoring. To our knowledge, first study performed with population.
