In this study, 179 scats wolves (Canis lupus italicus) collected throughout Italian region Liguria were analyzed for detection taeniid infection. Taeniid egg isolation was performed using sieving/flotation technique, species level identified by PCR (gene target: 12S rRNA nad 1) followed sequence analyses. Based homologies ≥99%, hydatigena in 19.6%, krabbei 4.5%, ovis 2.2%, crassiceps 0.6%, Hydatigera taeniaeformis 0.6% granulosus 5.6% samples. According to these results, Canis italicus can be considered involved (including cervids rodents) cycles sheep goats) taeniids area.
