摘要: Abstract In the present paper, a nonwoven material is presented, which improves mechanical behaviour and safety of current polymer electrolytes/separators in Li–polymer batteries. The thereby acts as support separating electrolytes. It helps to improve properties, processibility polymers. presented consists fine polyester fibres has thickness below 20 μm. strength values are range 20 N/5 cm with low elongation at tension values, relevant battery production. electrochemically stable against Li environment can tolerate temperatures up 180 °C thermal shrinkage. wet-laid homogeneous regarding pore size distribution. Average sizes 20–30 μm. On other hand, material's porosity 55–65%, high enough be filled gel electrolytes also increased viscosity. Due labyrinth-like structure material, pin-holes do not occur. An outlook given, how such could separators for proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells.
