摘要: Previous studies of left ventricular performance (LVP) in depressed patients receiving tricyclic antidepressants have been performed on without severe heart disease. This study reports the effect imipramine hydrochloride LVP, assessed by radionuclide angiography, a group with notable preexisting dysfunction. Ejection fraction was measured at rest first-pass angiography before and after treatment imipramine. unchanged during treatment, but seven 15 experienced orthostatic hypotension such severity that administration drug had to be discontinued. Plasma concentrations were essentially twice those usually seen. It is important appreciate although does not further impair resting this mean it risk. The physician must watch carefully for when using impaired LVP. ( JAMA 1983;250:1997-2001)
