摘要: The production and properties of biosurfactants synthesized by Halobacillus dabanensis Pontibacillus chungwhensi, isolated from oil-contaminated mangrove sediments Avicennia marina, Red Sea (Egypt) have been investigated. two strains were classified as moderate halophile halotolerant, respectively. produced considered metabolites associated with the growth H. P. chungwhensi able to reduce interfacial tension 20 19 mN/m, partially purified showed high emulsiflcation value (E24) against n-hexadecane (68 72%, respectively). Biological degradation n-alkane mixture linear alkyl benzene after incubation bacteria in Buslinell-Haas medium presence absence has monitored. capable degrading 92.3 94.7% n- alkane 76.5 76.7% benzene, biodegradation n-alkane, achieved was better than its control. structural analysis proved them be lipopeptides. Biosurfactant-producing halophilic/halotolerant microorganisms may play a significant role accelerating remediation oil-polluted saline environments.
