摘要: Background: A brief episode of cerebral ischemia confers transient ischemic tolerance to a subsequent challenge. We examined the effect and hypoxic preconditioning in neonatal rat. Methods: Seven-day old Sprague-Dawley rat pups were divided into three groups:control (n = 53), 51), 48). For preconditioning, right common carotid artery was occluded for 10 min. Rats group kept under (8% oxygen/92% nitrogen) conditions 4h. Twenty-four hours after rats from all groups exposed ligature, followed by 2.5 h hypoxia. Lipid/N-acetyl aspartate (Lip/NAA) lipid/creatine (Lip/Cr) ratios 1H MR spectroscopy terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-biotin nick end-labeling (TUNEL) evaluated as measures apoptosis 1 7 days hypoxic-ischemic injury. Results: In groups, Lip/NAA Lip/Cr numbers TUNEL- positive cells significantly lower than those control (P
