摘要: Aims: To develop a practical patient-completed chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment questionnaire (COPD-AQ) to improve COPD and management in primary care, based on the concept of stability. Methods: An Expert Working Group defined parameters stability 10-item Physician's Global Assessment was established. A 21-item COPD-AQ developed validated cross-sectional, non-randomised study patients with (n=395). Items most discriminative status (stable/unstable) were selected produce 5-item COPD-AQ, which then validated. Results: In development sample, internal consistency reliability 0.74 (n=296). The discriminated between groups physician (F=44.26; p 20 (range: 5.0-25.0) had specificity 82.9% sensitivity 64.7%. Conclusions: proved tool for assessing sufficiently simple routine clinical use. However, overall validation limited by small numbers sample. Difficulties also existed over using term 'stability' define status. not progressed further, but this work will prove valuable future global care.
