摘要: Abstract We have reported that Vibrio furnissii , a chitinivorous marine bacterium, expresses complex apparatus for adhesion/deadhesion to chitin analogues (1). In the present studies, we show this organism exhibits chemotactic response (swarming) oligosaccharides at concentrations as low 10 μ M . contrast, V slight no chemotaxis other utilizable compounds (glycerol, lactate, amino acids), with exception of l -glutamic acid. may lack tar (aspartate) receptor Escherichia coli
