Sociotechnical design for a sustainable world

摘要: This article presents the sociotechnical design method for conceiving innovative sustainable products and/or systems. It is a participatory approach to that focuses on meeting basic needs of people at base social pyramid using waste as raw material developing products/systems with high added value. The has three stages: (1) matrix cross-matches and available forms thereby induces, by brainstorming, development opportunities; (2) four matrices identifying ergonomic demands human users (the primary, intermediate end users) environment (3) evaluates alternatives in terms sustainability, quality cost. aligned worldwide adopted sustainability definition, cradle-to-cradle consistent Zero Emissions Research Initiatives chain production system approach.
