摘要: In vitro tissue-engineered models of human oral mucosa have been used extensively for simulating different types diseases and conditions affecting mucosa. This chapter reviews the studies using three-dimensional mucosal to investigate diseases. These include cancer, radio-mucositis, bisphosphonate medication-related osteonecrosis, microbial, fungal infections Studies study immune responses are also discussed in this as well imaging spectroscopic diagnostic techniques drug delivery systems.
