摘要: We present an overview of Micro Particle Image Velocimetry (μPIV); optical, non– intrusive measurement technique permitting detailed flow-field measurements in microfluidic devices. Both theoretical and practical issues related to μPIV are discussed, such as optical set-up, microscope objective properties, filters, seeding particles, particle concentration, flow illumination, system resolution, data analysis methods. Literature major work done on the subject is provided, along with application examples potential use. Furthermore, main limitations pointed out.
