摘要: A simple, accurate, selective, precise, economical and stability-indicating high-performance thin-layer chromatographic method for analysis of forskolin in crude drug pharmaceutical dosage form was developed validated. The on TLC aluminium plates precoated with silica gel 60F-254 using solvent system benzene:methanol (9:1, v/v), which gives compact spot (Rf value 0.25 ± 0.02). Densitometric carried out the absorbance mode at 545 nm after spraying anisaldehyde sulphuric acid. linear regression data calibration plots showed good relationship r = 0.994 respect to peak height area, respectively, concentration range 100–1,000 ng per spot. limits detection quantification were 8.1 26.9 spot, respectively. proposed applied determination Coleus forskohlii root capsule forms, 0.18 0.57% w/w forskolin. Forskolin subjected acid alkali hydrolysis, oxidation, photodegradation heat degradation. It observed that is susceptible acid, base photo-oxidation Statistical proves repeatable, selective accurate estimation forms. effectively resolved from components C. root, excipients as well degradation products hence, it can be employed routine a method.
