摘要: Abstract Observations of ionisation elongated along the earth's magnetic field have been carried out with a sensitive radar at frequency 300 Mc/s. A very weak signal was detected from height about 104 km and this found to be present almost continuously even during quiet conditions. The signals are believed originate field-aligned meteoric origin. This means that in certain parts E-region there is noise level much greater than set by incoherent backscatter free electrons ionosphere.
