摘要: Effective chemical control relies on reducing vector population size. However, insecticide selection pressure is often associated with the development of resistant populations that reduce success. In treated areas, these individuals present an adaptive advantage due to enhanced survival. Resistance can also lead negative effects when ceases. this study, biological deltamethrin resistance were assessed in Chagas disease Triatoma infestans. The length each developmental stage and complete life cycle, mating rate, fecundity evaluated. Susceptible insects presented similar rates. A reproductive cost was expressed as a lower colony. Developmental costs colony form shortening second third nymph duration extension fifth stage. maternal effect suggested identified females their progeny independently mated male's response. Our results suggest presence pleiotropic resistance. Possible associations characters other traits such delays behavioral are discussed.
