Serumaktivitet av matrix metalloproteinas-2, -9 och -14 hos hundar med myxomatös mitralisklaffdegeneration

摘要: Matrix metalloproteinaser (MMPs) ar en grupp proteolytiska enzymer som degraderar komponenter i vavnaders extracellulara matrix (ECM). Dessa proteiner spelar viktig roll manga fysiologiska och patologiska processer. Enzymerna anses vara delaktiga vid olika typer av hjartsjukdomar dar de genom att utova sin effekt paverkar sammansattningen hos ECM. Aktiviteten MMPs hammas TIMPs (tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases) enzymernas specifika inhibitorer. Balans mellan nedbrytning uppbyggnad ECM nodvandigt for bibehalla hjartvavnadens normala struktur funktion. Aktivitet vissa (exempelvis MMP-2, -9 -14) har studier beskrivits involverad utvecklingen hjartsjukdomen myxomatos klaffdegeneration hund.
