摘要: This paper presents an investigation into the properties of membrane structures for space-based antenna applications. Various experimental activities that have been undertaken at early phase development a multi-layer, deployable structure are outlined. The membranes described here prototypes possible on-orbit flight experiment in thin deployment, where such addresses necessary questions related to use this technology synthetic aperture radar. These experiments used Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer examine elastic and microplastic behaviour material. aim these is be able better predict flatness variations would result from wrinkling, folding, stowage prior deployment. explore how due material viscosity affect strain when folded, also vary with changes temperature. Two types film considered as It expected deployment method, well tensioning system multi-layer once deployed, will depend on results investigations fundamental properties.
