摘要: Burn care is traditionally considered expensive care. However, detailed information about the costs of burn scarce despite increased need for this and enhanced focus on healthcare cost control. In study, economic literature was systematically reviewed to examine problem burn-related costs. Cost or evaluation studies that had been published in international peer-reviewed journals from 1950 2012 were identified. The methodology these articles critically appraised by two reviewers, results extracted. A total 156 met inclusion criteria. Nearly all (n = 153) with a perspective (n = 139) high-income countries (n = 127). Hospital charges often used as proxy (n = 44). Three cost-effectiveness analyses. mean per patient $88,218 (range $704-$717,306; median $44,024). wide variety methodological approaches prices found. We recommend evaluations employ standard approach improve quality harmonization studies, optimize comparability, insight into efficiency.
