Online isotope separation at ISAC with a 10 μA proton driver beam

摘要: Abstract After initial operation using a 1 μA proton driver beam for radioactive ion production, the ISAC facility at TRIUMF has progressed to operating higher intensities, in range of 10 μA p + . ISOL targets designed levels have been successfully operated extended periods with only minor modification. Thin niobium foil reduced volume were employed maximize release short lived Rb product nuclides. Production yields measured by depositing on movable tape collection station both beta- and gamma-counting capabilities identification. The yield per μA 75 ( t 1/2 ∼19 s) was observed increase nonlinear manner increasing current target.
