摘要: Abstract TITAN (TRIUMF's Ion Trap for Atomic and Nuclear science) is a system of multiple ion traps installed at the radioactive beam facility ISAC. The uniqueness lies in combination different kinds nowhere else available, coupling this to ISAC as source most intense beams very exotic nuclei worldwide. now been operational more than 5 years, has proven be able deliver broad variety species with unsurpassed production yields, making it choice next generation trap facility, like TITAN. physics goals are manifold, but emphasis on test Standard Model via determination Vud CKM matrix element, nuclear structure halo-nuclei investigations, astrophysics by providing precise accurate mass measurements.
