摘要: Object The dura mater has 2 dural layers: the endosteal layer (outer layer), which is firmly attached to bone, and meningeal (inner directly covers brain. These layers join together in middle temporal fossa or convexity separate into orbital, lateral sellar compartment (LSC), spinal epidural space form extradural neural axis (EDNAC). aim of this work was anatomically verify concept EDNAC by using electron microscopy. Methods authors studied cadaveric heads obtained from 13 adults. Ten specimens (or 20 perisellar areas) were injected with colored latex fixed formalin. They carefully removed each brain allow a superior approach area. 3 other microscopic ultrastructural methods describe Special attention paid surrounding anatomy architecture LSC, petroclival venous confluence, orbit, trigeminal cave. After dissection, took photographs aid optical magnification. remaining heads, fresh cadavers, prepared for study. Results limited contains fat and/or blood. not identical on microscopy; finding can be readily related histology meninges. Conclusions In study, demonstrated existence area dissected verified reality findings clearly EDNAC, notion that generally been accepted but never microscopically.
