摘要: Abstract Autologous saphenous veins are considered the best arterial substitute for lower extremity revascularization in infected fields. The search continues a vascular conduit instances when an autologous biologic grafting is not feasible. Herein we report our experience with eight patients whom cryopreserved vein allogenic homografts were used 10 reconstructions limb salvage coexisting infection. Six prosthetic grafts including four femoropopliteal, two femorotibial, femorofemoral, and femoroperoneal graft required complete or partial excision as result of overt remaining included one femoral pseudoaneurysm another extensive chemical burns. All identical match to ABO/Rh blood groupings recipient patients. No immunosuppressive drugs administered after operation. Mean follow-up was 9.5 months (range, 6.0 14.0 months). One patient died 5 weeks operation patent graft. Two occluded during follow-up; graft, patency restored thrombectomy alone. seven continue be no evidence aneurysmal dilation eradication primary These preliminary findings suggest that can serve interim conduits reconstruction preserve viability autogenous unsatisfactory unavailable. Further definitive may thereafter necessary once sepsis eradicated sufficient wound healing achieved. (J Vasc Surg 1992;15:519–26.)
