摘要: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common demyelinating disorder of central nervous system, and contributes greatly to health care costs disability in young adults. Despite advances diagnostic techniques treatment, several important issues remain controversial. We addressed fifteen specific controversies that arise at bedside affect clinical practice, education research MS. reviewed these followed by some opinions as how use best available evidence a way support decisions. Topics discussed include utility oligoclonal IgG bands diagnosis prognosis multiple sclerosis, cost-effectiveness disease-modifying therapies, change from first- second-line indications for follow-up MR imaging, plasma exchange, radiologically isolated syndrome, discontinuation immunomodulatory home administration intravenous methylprednisolone, duration corticosteroids role optical coherence tomography, vitamin D deficiency supplementation, management secondary progressive emerging therapies interferon during pregnancy. A systematic review literature was conducted using MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane Literatura Latino-Americana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud (LILACS) databases. Answers targeted questions were formulated recommendations made with hope stimulate future research.
