摘要: Alteration of transcription factor function is becoming a common theme in molecular mechanisms oncogenesis. A recent example this trend the isolation and characterization chromosome 11p13 Wilms tumor suppressor gene, WT1. The WT1 protein contains DNA binding domain consisting four zinc fingers Cys2-His2 class proline-glutamine rich region capable regulating transcription. Deletions gene or point mutations which destroy activity are associated with development pediatric nephroblastoma Denys-Drash syndrome. This article reviews role normal kidney processes, known biochemical functions status identifying target genes regulated by potentially oncogenic factor.
