RESULTS A total 4,211 patients enrolled survey. Among them, 3,335 with stage 0 III disease undergoing mastectomy or breast-conserving surgery (BCS) included final analysis. rate BCS increased from 1.53% 1999 11.88% 2008. declined over time period, 98.47% 88.12% 2008, increasing use diagnostic methods biopsies. significantly greater percentage office work, high education levels, unmarried status, younger age, early stages preferred compared mastectomy. CONCLUSION Rates China remain elevated due diagnosis at higher stages; however, because imaging, improvement biopsy methods, patient education, less invasive lumpectomy are have decreased IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE In study, cases collected 2008 through multicenter varying geographic socioeconomic areas surgeries correlations between tumor characteristics among explored. shows that period Patients
