摘要: Six normal volunteers consumed high protein, carbohydrate, and fat isocaloric diets on a metabolic ward for 10 days each. On the protein diet, serum creatinine, BUN, albumin, total exceeded range in from one to four subjects; increases were directly related percentage of calories derived (R = 0.82, 0.62, 0.73 respectively; all p less than 0.01). Fasting glucose was higher diet (p 0.01); values carbohydrate intermediate. not significantly either carbohydrates or simple diet. Within frequently ingested United States, laboratory can vary exceed ranges healthy individuals. These variations may mislead clinicians lead further unnecessary tests.
