摘要: Most women with early breast cancer have the option of surgery that conserves or mastectomy. In 1990, a consensus statement United States National Institutes Health concluded conservation was appropriate for cancer, and preferable to total mastectomy because it provided equivalent survival while preserving breast. This theme taken up in Australia release NHMRC Clinical practice guidelines management October 1995. The proportion receiving conserving thus became an indicator monitoring uptake new treatment cancer.
