Challenges of cross-Atlantic project collaboration in design education

摘要: The paper reports a survey that was conducted among students who participated in pilot projects organised by the Centre for Design Research of Stanford University and Decode Group Helsinki Technology. These CrossAtlantic were within multidisciplinary teams consisting with various educational backgrounds such as mechanical engineering, industrial design, business administration, computer science, engineering. objective is to discuss main challenges encountered projects. greatest faced stemmed from disciplinary differences terms language, understanding, working methods. generates insights are useful also other instances planning global project collaboration design research education.
