摘要: Although dietary lipids have been implicated in colon cancer causation, the underlying mechanisms are not known. This paper indicates that when bacteria obtained from normal human feces incubated with 14C-labeled phosphatidylcholine there is appreciable production of diacylglycerol (DAG), monoacylglycerol, and free fatty acid. Curiously, DAG but acid, strictly dependent on addition certain bile acids to incubation system. Among tested deoxycholic acid most active. Assays fecal specimens 10 individuals demonstrate a 27-fold interindividual variation vitro assay system, also absolute levels present same samples. On other hand, both parameters quite constant repeated samples individual over period about 4 months. physiological activator protein kinase C, an enzyme plays key role growth control tumor promotion. We speculate, therefore, produced by intestinal microflora might stimulate colonic epithelial cells. Thus interaction between lipids, acids, specific lumen could contribute risk development humans.
