摘要: Vitamin D is a neuroactive steroid hormone with multiple functions in the brain. Numerous clinical and experimental data link various D-related dysfunctions to epilepsy. Here, we study role of receptors (VDRs) epilepsy mice. To examine this problem, assessed seizure profiles VDR knockout mice following systemic injection pentylenetetrazole (70 mg/kg). Overall, compared wild-type (WT) 129S1 (n = 10 each group), group significantly demonstrated shorter latencies onset, higher Racine scores increased mortality rates. Our findings suggest that VDRs modulate susceptibility mice, D/VDR endocrine system may be involved pathogenesis © 2005 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
