摘要: The degradation of cathodoluminescent (CL) brightness under prolonged electron-beam excitation phosphors has been identified as one the outstanding critical issues for flat-panel field-emission displays. In this letter, we have demonstrated that a TaSi2 coating on Y2O2S:Eu3+ substantially inhibits characteristics without reducing its efficiency. was deposited by pulsed laser deposition targets onto fluidized bed containing phosphor particles. Cathodoluminescent experiments conducted at 2 keV and 150 μA/cm2, showed CL decreased more than 50% after Coulomb load 15 C/cm2 uncoated material. contrast, TaSi2-coated powders much less degradation, with only decreasing approximately 12% electron irradiation same dose.
