摘要: The Thar Desert, a very inhospitable place, accommodates only plant species that survive acute drought, unpredictable precipitation, and those can grow in the limited moisture of sandy soils. Capparis decidua is among one few plants able to well under these conditions. This highly exploited has been naturally taken, as local people use it for various purposes like food, timber fuel, although, no management or conservation efforts have established. present study was conducted this arid area Western Rajasthan (India) with aim obtain preliminary molecular information about group plants. We evaluated diversity 46 samples C. using chemical parameters random amplified poly- morphic DNA (RAPD) markers. Fourteen eight minerals (total 22 variables) fruits were estimated. A total 14 RAPD primers produced 235 band positions, which 81.27% polymorphic. Jaccard's similarity coefficients ranged from 0.34 0.86 mean genetic 0.50. As per observed coefficient variation, NDF (Neutral Detergent Fiber) content found be most variable trait followed by starch soluble carbohydrate. Manhattan dissimilarity values between 0.02-0.31 an average 0.092. revealed low correlation (0.01) RAPD-based matrices. chemical- matrices indicated two methods different variable. chemical-based will assist selection nutritionally rich medicinal purpose, while face natural challenges find sustainable ways promote future use.
