摘要: In this paper, complementary metamaterial sensor is designed for nondestructive evaluation of dielectric substrates. The design concept based on electromagnetic stored energy in the circular spiral resonator (CCSR), which concentrated small volume near host substrate at resonance. This can be employed to detect various properties materials under test (MUT). Effective electric permittivity and magnetic permeability proposed extracted from scattering parameters. Sensitivity analysis performed by varying MUT. After sensitivity analysis, a fabricated using standard PCB fabrication technique, resonance frequency due interaction with different MUT measured vector network analyzer (AV3672series). transcendental equation derived calculate relative unknown MUTs. method very simple requires calculating only resonant frequency, reduces cost computation time.
