摘要: Nosocomial infection in intensive care unit (ICU) practice is a common problem and associated with abnormal carriage of Gram-negative aerobic bacilli the gastrointestinal tract, resulting endogenous infections. Selective decontamination digestive tract (SDD) regimen aimed at preventing or eradicating this carriage. A large number trials examining SDD ICU have been published, vast majority showing significant reduction incidence nosocomial, infection. However, impact on morbidity mortality much less certain. recent meta-analysis has suggested 10-20% (3-6% absolute difference) SDD. discussion these results presented together potential criticisms
