A non-endoreversible Otto cycle model: improving power output and efficiency

摘要: We propose a finite-time thermodynamics model for an Otto thermal cycle. Our considers global losses in simplified way lumped into friction-like term, and takes account the departure from endoreversible regime through parameter (R) arising Clausius inequality. numerical results suggest that cycle's power output efficiency are very sensitive to parameter. find R is ratio of constant-volume heat capacities reactants products combustion reaction occurring inside working fluid. have implications search new fuels internal engines.
