摘要: Abstract Urban Green Areas (UGAs) are Infrastructure (GI) elements widely known as a framework for applying Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), they may preserve and increase environmental values in urbanized contexts by supporting wide range of ecosystem services. Accessibility usability UGAs important indicators the quality urban areas to be considered sustainable governance, management, design metropolitan areas. In such context, present study aims at assessing accessibility from both old new residential settlements 15 administrative units Rome municipality, an exemplificative case Mediterranean city which, recent decades, has been subjected rapid transition ‘compact growth’ model more ‘dispersed’ one. Firstly, we used European Atlas geodatabase identify map areas, including those established between 2006 2012. Secondly, performed network analysis assess distance closest UGA access point. Ancillary data were check presence facilities therefore UGAs. 57% have accessible their surroundings, but percentage is much lower (25%) if consider This evidence was also found unit scale. Equally, share population that can benefit settlements, notably peripheral units. The exceeds 80% whole area. proposed methodology could applied similar contexts, useful tool planners decision makers (i) support assessment life people living settlements; (ii) order green spaces, value newly built-up implications of, future perspectives need planning light NBS reported discussed.
