Towards Interoperability and Reusability of Learning Resources: a SCORM- conformant Courseware for Computer Science Education

摘要: In this paper we present our design and implementation of a SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model)conformant CS courseware based on the latest specification 1.2, released by ADL (Advanced Distributed Learning) Oct. 1, 2001. All learning resources contained in an existing Java course are re-designed according to Model further described with corresponding Assets-, SCO-, Aggregation metadata. Also structure is reconstructed Packaging specification, which provides standardized way represent aggregation exchange them between different management systems. Moreover, Web-based Run-Time Environment implemented utilizing Server Pages, Servlet, JavaScript, able dynamically render into its Web presentation basis pre-defined Application Profile. Our SCORM-conformant development actually constitutes early exploration great potential specification.
