摘要: In recent years, significant research efforts have been devoted to the optimal planning of power systems. Substation Expansion Planning (SEP) as a sub-system system consists finding most economical solution with location and size future substations and/or feeders meet demand. The large number design variables, combination discrete continuous variables makes substation expansion very challenging problem. So far, various methods presented solve such complicated Since Bacterial Foraging Optimization Algorithm (BFOA) has proper results in studies systems, not applied SEP problem yet, this paper develops new BFO-based method technique discussed uses BFOA simultaneously optimize sizes locations both existing installed by considering reliability constraints. To clarify capabilities typical network is considered applying GA on are compared. simulation demonstrate that potential find more than other algorithm under same conditions. Also, fast convergence, consideration real-world networks limitations constraints simplicity scale main features proposed method.
