The Effect of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Program on Learning Vocabulary among EFL Left and Right Hemispheric Dominant Learners

摘要: Vocabulary is a core component of language proficiency, and provides much the basis for how well learners speak, listen, read, write. Without  an extensive vocabulary strategies  acquiring new vocabulary, often achieve less than their potential may be discouraged from making use  of  learning  opportunities around them  such  as  listening  to  radio, listening to native  speakers,  using  the  language  in  different  contexts,  reading  or  watching  television. CALL refers use computer in teaching learning second or foreign language. The field includes process. programs aims teach students aspects process via medium computers. Unfortunately, Iran, textbook writers syllabus designers have paid attention role played by classrooms. Teaching not supplemented with modern technologies, specially English. Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) education has increased remarkably recent years due changes software. However, widely employed second/foreign (L2) Iran.  Interested application CALL,  this  study  examines  two  methods  vocabulary  teaching/learning  (CALL-based  versus  non-CALL based). For this purpose, 38 male 48 female elementary Iranian EFL participate study. They are randomly assigned into CALL-users   users posttest control group design employed.  To  collect data,  proficiency  test will used homogenize participants and  multiple-choice test  be  used  posttests  find  out  effectiveness  methods. Finally, results t-tests pedagogical implications  for  L2  teachers  presented.
