摘要: The need to transmit images across tactical radio frequency (rf) links has been identified in army digitization applications. For example, military doctrine requires that functions like identification of battlefield entities as potential targets and battle damage assessment be performed by the soldier. Currently, a key input these processes is imagery. Therefore, quality timeliness image directly impact performance. investigating employment remote sensors advanced communications systems meet this requirement part its effort. Army exist partially requirement. However, many existing solutions employ legacy context point-to-point architecture. Solutions problem transmitting rf network have not fully explored. term implies transmission media common shared multiple subscribers. It suite capabilities collectively manage access information transfer for subscribers thus providing substantial improvements effectiveness, efficiency, robustness. This paper discusses challenges using one system network, presents conceptual framework attacking problem, solution.© (1997) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society Optical Engineering.
